## The challenge

Alzheimer’s disease remains one of the most pressing medical challenges of our time. Traditional disease research methods rely heavily on infrequent clinical assessments, patient self-reporting, and small-scale studies, which often fail to capture the nuanced, day-to-day progression of the disease. Researchers lack continuous, objective insights into how Alzheimer’s affects cognitive function and biometrics in real-world conditions.

## The solution

Margins developed the Lucidity app ecosystem for Alzheimer's disease research. Patients play 'brain games' on the app while biomedical devices collect real-time biometrics; an AI/ML model processes the biometric data against game outcomes, generating continuous, objective insights into disease progression — data that supports the ongoing search for an Alzheimer's cure.
